Prosper Portland and Portland Housing Bureau seeks applications for TIF Working Group
Prosper Portland presents a unique opportunity for you to influence the future of Portland’s Central City directly. Prosper Portland and the Portland Housing Bureau are launching limited-duration Working Groups to help shape the first 5-Year Action Plans for the newly established Central City Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts:
Central Eastside Corridor TIF District
Lloyd-Holladay TIF District
Westside TIF District
Portland City Council approved these districts in October 2024 to spur economic growth, create jobs, and invest in a range of affordable housing options over the next 30 years. The new districts will begin collecting tax increment on July 1, 2025.
The 5-Year Action Plans will determine near-term investment priorities based on available funds, eligible projects outlined in the TIF District Plan, and the community's current needs.
Each district will have a 13–15-person ad hoc Working Group that will meet approximately eight times between April and November 2025. We are looking to fill the Action Planning Working Groups with people that have a connection to the district and represent a broad range of knowledge or experience related to work that will be done in the TIF districts.
The Action Planning Working Group application is available here and will be open from Monday, March 10 to Friday, March 21, and selected applicants will be notified in early April.
