Important Update: Zone Parking Permit Rates Increase

The City Council has approved a rate increase for zone parking permits under the Area Parking Permit Program (APPP). The changes are part of a plan to bring the program toward full cost recovery, ensuring continued support for permit administration and parking enforcement.

These rate changes will take effect starting July 1, 2025.

The base permit fees will increase by 10% annually until the program’s costs are fully recovered, and the price of a 10-pack of daily guest permits in Zones G, N, and M will also rise to better reflect the average cost of on-street parking while maintaining a 50% discount. This necessary adjustment was identified through the city’s budget monitoring process to align permit fees with the actual costs of running the program. Please review the updated rate table and details to understand how these changes may affect permit purchases. For questions, please contact Lesslie@ceic.cc.

Thank you for your ongoing support as the city works to maintain a fair and sustainable parking program for the community.

Please note: Maintenance will be performed on the online permit system beginning Monday, June 23, 2025, to implement these price changes. New permit applications will be temporarily unavailable from June 23 to July 1, 2025. Current permit holders will still be able to access their existing permits during this period. Any active application submitted or permit purchased before June 23 must be paid for on or before June 30 to avoid being subject to the new rates.
