Realigning Community Ambassador Hours to Meet District Needs–Changes Start July 1st!
Dear CEID Community,
Since the inception of our Enhanced Services District, our focus has been to build programs that respond to the real needs of the Central Eastside community. Each year, we use feedback from businesses, community surveys, and operational data to guide how we invest your dollars for the greatest impact.
Based on that feedback and a comprehensive analysis of call volumes and team activity, we’ve identified a clear trend: Ambassador services are most utilized in the mornings and afternoons, while calls during evening hours and Sundays have remained consistently low.
In response, starting July 1st, Community Ambassador hours will shift to better align with actual demand:
Monday - Saturday: 7 am - 7 pm
Sunday: 11 am - 7 pm
This adjustment ensures we are prioritizing resources where they are most effective—uplifting businesses, welcoming visitors, and supporting livability issues when it matters most. At the same time, we are seeing an increase in late-night visitor traffic, particularly around food, beverage, and entertainment businesses. Over the coming months, we’ll be engaging directly with those businesses to better understand their needs and gather real-time data. This input will help shape program investments for Fiscal Year 2027 to ensure we’re supporting the full spectrum of businesses and uses in the district.
