New Seasons Market Announces Relocation of Store Support Headquarters to Portland’s Central Eastside
Portland, Ore. August 20th, 2025 New Seasons Market is excited to share that they are relocating their Store Support headquarters to Skylight at the Electric Blocks, a dynamic and thoughtfully designed office campus owned by Killian Pacific, located at 120 SE Clay Street, in Portland’s Central Eastside.
Following an extensive search, the Skylight building at the Electric Blocks emerged as the ideal choice for a variety of compelling reasons. The space offers flexible work areas, excellent access to public transit, and bike-friendly amenities for both staff and vendor partners. Just as importantly, it allows New Seasons to remain rooted in Portland’s Central City and continuing its deep connection with the greater metro community. As Dave Kauder, Senior Vice President, put it, Skylight was “the overwhelming favorite, and for good reason— it’s a beautiful space that reflects who we are and will be a fantastic home for our next chapter together.”
The Skylight building is a part of the Electric Blocks; a five-building, 350,000-square-foot campus in Portland’s Central Eastside designed to meet the needs of modern workplaces. With nearly 6,000 square feet of outdoor terrace space, 300-plus parking stalls, and 400-plus bike parking spots, the campus offers flexibility, access, and thoughtful amenities, anchored in long-term sustainability, including some of Portland’s earliest cross-laminated timber (CLT) office buildings and new rooftop solar arrays.
“We’re proud to welcome New Seasons to the Electric Blocks. The opportunity to bring the headquarters of a beloved local neighborhood market to the Electric Blocks is an incredibly exciting opportunity for our tenants, our campus, and the vibrant Central Eastside,” said Michi Slick, Principal at Killian Pacific. “This is also a great win for Portland. Companies choosing to stay and invest in the Central City is exactly the kind of momentum we need.”
New Seasons Market will establish its new headquarters at Skylight, on the second floor of the building, encompassing approximately 32,000 square feet. Skylight is an 83,000-square-foot mass timber building that blends exposed CLT construction with the district’s industrial heritage.
The Electric Blocks is also home to year-round programming that activates the campus and connects tenants to the broader community, from vendor markets and rotating art to serving as an anchor site for the Portland Winter Light Festival. With a growing mix of cultural events and locally rooted businesses, the campus continues to attract companies looking for more than just office space.
The Central Eastside has long been one of Portland’s most distinctive districts—defined by its industrial heritage, working character, and strong sense of place. Today, that foundation supports a dynamic blend of manufacturers, creative studios, locally owned businesses, and a rising food, beverage, and entertainment scene. It’s a neighborhood that reflects Portland’s past while contributing to its future.
“New Seasons’ move brings meaningful momentum to the Central Eastside,” said Carolyne Holcomb, Executive Director of the Central Eastside Industrial Council. “It’s a strong signal of confidence in our district, and a positive step in the continued resurgence of Portland’s urban core.”
As a fellow Certified B Corporation headquartered at the Electric Blocks, Killian Pacific sees the New Seasons’ move as a meaningful addition to the campus, and a reflection of shared values and long-term commitment to Portland’s Central City.
New Seasons’ will take occupancy in early November. Leasing for the Electric Blocks is provided by Jake Lancaster and Jessica Ramey at Jones Lang LaSalle.
