CENTRAL EASTSIDE TOGETHER RELEASES RFP FOR DISTRICT CLEANING SERVICES
Central Eastside Together (CET), the enhanced service district for the Central Eastside, has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for district-wide cleaning services to begin July 1, 2027.
As the CET Board evaluates the long-term sustainability of its programs and prepares for the next fiscal year, the organization is taking this opportunity to competitively procure these services. The goal is to ensure high-value programs for district ratepayers while maintaining the level of service businesses, employees, residents, and visitors expect.
CET is seeking qualified organizations with experience in urban cleaning, litter and debris removal, public space maintenance, environmental services, or similar work. While many of the core services will remain familiar, vendors are encouraged to bring their own ideas for meeting CET's performance expectations. The strongest proposals will demonstrate experience working in complex urban environments, a thoughtful approach to staffing and service delivery, and the ability to respond quickly as conditions change.
The RFP includes the scope of work, proposal requirements, evaluation criteria, and procurement timeline. Interested vendors are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal meeting and optional district tour to learn more about the program and ask questions before submitting a proposal.
The full RFP and supporting materials are available here. Applications are due October 2, 2026 by 11:59 pm.
