Broadway Bridge to Close for Inspection

Multnomah County, Ore. (July 24, 2025) — The Broadway Bridge will close this weekend for its National Bridge Inventory (NBI) bi-annual inspection. On Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Broadway Bridge will be closed to motorized vehicles for bridge inspection as well as deck and minor repairs to the bridge spans. Use alternative routes. **Note: The bridge will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists. 

The Portland Streetcar will not be operating on the bridge during these closures. These closures are not weather permitting.

Multnomah County maintains the Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside, Broadway, Sellwood, and Sauvie Island bridges on the Willamette River. For information, visit: https://www.multco.us/bridges.
